I was born and raised in Houston. I received BAs in Psychology and Government from the University of Texas - Austin and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston. I have been working in government since 2004, first for Senator Jon Lindsay, and now for Senator Dan Patrick as his District Director.
I ran for Houston City Council District A in 2009. While I came in third (out of seven people), I spent the lowest amount of money per vote out of the top contenders in the race. I ran on a platform of budget reform, increasing tourism and businesses, flooding and drainage, and supporting our police and fire departments.
